Charlton Athletic are delighted to announce that back-to-back Player of the Year Lloyd Jones has signed a new two-year contract with the club.
The centre-back has been a standout performer since joining the Addicks in the summer of 2023, making 123 appearances across all competitions.
Jones was deservedly named in the 2024/25 Sky Bet League One Team of the Season after starring in Charlton’s promotion campaign and he was instrumental again in 2025/26, playing all 46 Sky Bet Championship fixtures and making the most clearances (439) and winning more aerial duels (276) than any other player in the division.
Upon signing his new deal, the 30-year-old said: "I’m absolutely buzzing. I’ve loved every minute since I’ve been here and long may it continue. I’ve had the best years of my career here and it feels like a home to me."
Manager Nathan Jones commented: "We're delighted that Lloyd’s extended his stay with us. I knew him from signing him at Luton as I've said on numerous occasions, and he's now matured into the player that I always knew that he was. He’s been a pillar in our success, both in the promotion year and last year. His consistency has been excellent and he’s been one of the best defenders in the division, so we’re delighted to extend our time working with him."
