CACT Development Centres

-

Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) offer players aged U9-U16, who have previous club football experience, the opportunity to train weekly at one of our Development Centres.

Delivered over a 12-week programme, players will be coached by UEFA and FA licensed coaches and follow a specialised curriculum designed in line with the Charlton Athletic Academy philosophy. Sessions focus on developing players' technical, tactical, physical and social skills, helping them enhance their performance and understanding of 7-a-side, 9-a-side and 11-a-side football.

CACT also provide dedicated goalkeeper coaching, with bespoke sessions designed to improve goalkeepers' technical ability, decision-making and game-related skills.

The Development Centre acts as a natural progression from our Charlton Challenge programme and provides talented players with the opportunity to continue their football development in a challenging and supportive environment. Players who consistently demonstrate the required ability, attitude and potential may be invited to attend our Advanced Centre, which supports the Charlton Athletic Academy pathway.

The onward progression following your journey with the CAFC Training Ground development centre is to be offered a place on our Post-16 Football and Education programme. This is full-time, fully funded programme with excellent pathways and opportunities - click here to find out more.
