Ivan Mesík will make his full Charlton league debut as the Addicks host Preston North End at The Valley (KO 3pm BST).
The summer signing is the only change Nathan Jones makes from the team that has started Charlton’s league campaign with two wins. Mesík replaces Billy Koumetio, who limped off against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday with a hamstring injury.
Meanwhile, Kenya international Timothy Ouma features in a Sky Bet Championship squad for the first time.
