Charlton Athletic Women are back at The Valley this weekend for a London Derby against London City Lionesses in the Barclays WSL on Saturday, September 19, at 12.30pm (BST).

TEAM NEWS
Charlton are confirmed to be without three players ahead of this clash.
Defenders Hawa Cissoko and Ash Neville were both sent off against Everton and will therefore miss Saturday's game.
Then, before the clash against Everton, it was announced that Linda Lif Boama would be out for a period after sustaining a knee injury in training. Boama successfully underwent surgery and is currently in rehabilitation with the club.
This week, Charlton were delighted to announce that Jodie Hutton had signed a new contract with the club, keeping her in SE7 for another season, with an option for an additional year.
Hutton has already shown her importance to the team this season, starting in both games so far. In the whole of the WSL, only four players have won possession in the final third more times than Hutton (3), who is also the only Charlton Athletic player to create more than one chance in the league so far this term (3).
THE OPPOSITION
London City Lionesses have had an up-and-down start to the season. All the excitement over the summer from their huge signings - Alexia Putellas, Mapi Leon, Mary Earps - was strengthened after their matchday one win over Manchester United 2-1.
However, London City followed up that win with a loss away to West Ham 2-1 in Dagenham. This loss away extended their winless away run to four WSL away games (D1, L3).
Last season, they finished 6th in their debut WSL season, and this season they are currently sitting 7th after two games.
Both sides have the other team's alumni, too, with Lucy Fitzgerald signing for Charlton from London City at the start of last season, and Frey Godfrey spending a season on loan at the Addicks in the 23/24 season.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Charlton have won just two of 11 league games against London City Lionesses (D2, L7), 2-0 in both November 2021 and October 2023. The last meeting was a 1-1 draw in March 2025.
