In Sky Bet League Two, Keenan Gough completed another 90 minutes for Bristol Rovers in the Gas' thrilling 5-3 victory over Newport County at the Memorial Stadium. The academy graduate has featured in midfield for Steve Evans' side and once again received rave reviews for his performance.
Meanwhile, in the Sky Bet Championship, Tanto Olaofe came on as a substitute for Lincoln City, playing 15 minutes in their 3-1 defeat to Portsmouth at the ProAmpac Stadium.
In the National League South, Josh Laqeretabua played the entirety of Dorking Wanderers' narrow 3-2 defeat to Maidstone United at the Meadowbank Stadium.
Zach Mitchell and St Johnstone were not in action over the weekend. The Saints had originally been scheduled to face Celtic, but the fixture was postponed due to the Bhoys' involvement in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers in midweek. St Johnstone are next in action on Saturday, August 29th when they travel to Hearts.
Gassan Ahadme (Cambridge United), Ty Ewens-Findlay (Crawley Town) and Henry Rylah (Solihull Moors) did not feature in the matchday squads for their respective loan clubs.
