Charlton Athletic are delighted to announce that Gillian Kenney has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.
Kenney has extended her stay with the Addicks for another year after a breakout season that saw her score seven goals across all competitions and saw her nominated for the Barclays Women’s Super League 2 Rising Star Award.
In her first year as a professional, Kenney went from strength to strength, scoring vital goals to help Charlton earn a place in the top flight of English women's football.
After signing on for 2026/27, Kenney said: "Very exciting! I’m super excited for this new season in the WSL after promotion, so super excited to be back."
Kenney said it was very easy to sign, "This is my home away from home, and I just love it here."
Speaking about the upcoming season in the WSL, Kenney added: "I’m buzzing. To be in the WSL, it’s something I’ve dreamed of since I was a little kid.
"Playing with some top players in a great league is just super exciting, and I hope as a team and as a squad we can chip away and get some good results and work hard."
