Daniel Kanu has joined Sky League One side Notts County on loan for the remainder of the 2026/27 campaign.
The 21-year-old striker, who joined the Addicks’ academy at U11 level, enjoyed an exceptional loan spell in Sky Bet League Two with Walsall last term, scoring 18 goals across all competitions and collecting four end-of-season awards.
Kanu remains under contract with the club until 2028, having signed an extension in the summer of 2025.
Manager Nathan Jones said: “Daniel had an excellent season on loan in League Two last year, scoring goals, picking up individual awards and getting his first international goal. This move gives him another opportunity to continue that excellent progress at a good club under a good Head Coach. We’ll be monitoring his progress closely and, hopefully, like last season, he’ll return having enjoyed another season of really positive development.”
Everyone at the club would like to wish Daniel the very best of luck during his time at Meadow Lane.
