Tyler Bindon joined the Addicks in August 2026, arriving on a season-long loan from Premier League side Nottingham Forest.
Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Bindon began his career in his homeland with East Coast Bays before moving to California aged 12.
After impressing at the LAFC Academy, the centre-back joined Reading in the summer of 2023 and quickly established himself as a key player for the Royals.
That form earned him a permanent move to Premier League side Nottingham Forest in February 2025, with Bindon returning to Berkshire for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign.
He was subsequently named as Reading’s Player of the Season as the side narrowly missed out on a top-six finish and was nominated for the EFL League One Young Player of the Season award. Bindon was also crowned the Emerging Talent award winner at the prestigious Halberg Awards in New Zealand.
The 6ft 4in defender spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Sky Bet Championship side Sheffield United, where he featured 26 times across all competitions.
Bindon, who earned his international debut in a friendly against DR Congo in October 2023, has 28 caps for the All Whites to date and represented his country at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
