Arthur Okonkwo joined the Addicks on a season-long loan from Wrexham in August 2026.

Born in Camden, Okonkwo began his professional career with Arsenal and progressed through the ranks to sign his first senior contract with the Gunners in the summer of the 2021.

Loan spells followed at Crewe Alexandra, Sturm Graz, where he lifted the Austrian Cup, and Wrexham, who he joined permanently in June 2024 after helping them earn promotion to League One.

The 6ft 6in stopper continued to star for the Red Dragons as they secured back-to-back promotions with a second-place finish in 2024/25, before narrowly missing out on the Championship play-offs last term.

Okonkwo has two Nigeria caps to his name having made his debut during their Unity Cup success at The Valley in the summer of 2026.
