Zach Mitchell has joined Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone on a season-long loan.
The 21-year-old defender, who spent the first half of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at fellow Scottish Premiership outfit Hibernian, returns to St Johnstone where he enjoyed a successful loan spell during 2025, featuring 10 times across all competitions.
Manager Nathan Jones said: “Zach’s at a stage in his career where he needs to play games and we’re not in a position to offer him that, so it was about getting him a loan where he’s going to play at a very good level. St Johnstone ticked all of those boxes – he’s been there before, he knows the manager and he had a good spell there. It was really important that he went somewhere that got him the game time that he needs to develop. We wish him all the best and we’ll monitor him closely.”
