Lifelong Addicks Jade Hannan and Robbie Harrison have raised over £1,400 for Jack Jeffreys Superhero Trust.
Despite seeing the Addicks’ home fixture against Gillingham on Wednesday, December 29th postponed due to positive COVID-19 cases, the duo walked 29.7 miles from the Gills’ Priestfield Stadium to The Valley in aid of the Trust, whom manager Johnnie Jackson is a patron for.
Created in memory of Charlton fan Jack, the Trust supports children with cancer and other life threatening/life limiting conditions and their families, in and out of hospital.
Jade said: “Obviously Jack was a Charlton fan and his dad, Grant, still is a Charlton fan. He’s from a generation of Charlton fans, his dad grew up in Charlton. My grandad was from Charlton which is why my dad and I are Charlton fans. It’s just the generations. I think that’s why we’re a real family club, really. It’s because of that - when things happen everyone comes together.
“I did the half marathon for CACT in August so that kind of helped a little bit. It was very tough but, fortunately, when Robbie and I had our down moments it wasn’t at the same time, so we got the other one through it and we bounced off each other.
“Jack’s charity is only a small charity so they do rely heavily on donations to keep them going,” she added.
