Nigel Adkins' Addicks take their nine-game unbeaten run to Home Park on Tuesday evening as they take on Plymouth Argyle (7.45pm).
With six games to play, Charlton's fate is in their own hands as they find themselves in eighth position in League One, two points behind Oxford United in sixth and Portsmouth in seventh with two games in hand over both.
Plymouth, meanwhile, are in 16th position and are all-but safe from the threat of relegation, but have plenty of pride to play for over their final four games to come.
The Pilgrims drew their last game against Burton Albion at the weekend, but suffered back-to-back defeats 3-0 defeats to Shrewsbury Town and Hull City prior to that.

Conor Washington and Chuks Aneke returned to training on Monday, but Adkins has warned that Tuesday's game may come too soon for the pair to be involved again.
The Addicks' boss will also check on the fitness of Ian Maatsen after the Chelsea loanee sat out of Saturday's draw with Ipswich Town.
For Plymouth, Crystal Palace loanee Sam Woods is available again having missed the last three games with a hamstring injury.
Conor Grant is ruled out through injury.
Charlton boss Nigel Adkins: “We know we’ve got tough games, every game is going to be tough. Sometimes you need that little bit of fortune as you go.
"What we’ve got to do now is take care of business now as best as we can and get ready for a very tough game away at Plymouth. It is going to be tough but we’ve got a positive momentum about ourselves and we’ve got to keep that going.”
Plymouth boss Ryan Lowe: “We want to finish the season off on a high. We want to make sure that we keep playing the brand of football and keep working hard for each other. “So it’s another tough game but it’s one we are looking forward to. Charlton have met Plymouth on 71 previous occasions with the Addicks winning 29, Plymouth 27 and the remaining 15 encounters ending in draws.
The reverse fixture saw the sides play out a 2-2 draw at The Valley on Boxing Day with Chris Gunter and Marcus Maddison netting for the hosts and Luke Jephcott netting a brace for the visitors.
Charlton's last visit to Home Park ended in a 2-0 victory in April 2019 with Lyle Taylor and a Niall Canavan own goal sealing the points after Dillon Phillips had saved an earlier penalty.
Sam Purkiss will take charge of proceedings at Home Park on Tuesday evening, He has refereed 30 games this term, producing 70 yellow cards and eight reds.
He last officiated Charlton for the 2-1 defeat at Peterborough United in January and earlier refereed the 3-2 Valley victory over Fleetwood Town in November.
Purkiss will be assisted by Mark Derrien and Daniel Flynn with Carl Brook as the Fourth Official.
The match will be played behind closed doors and supporters are reminded to maintain social distancing guidelines and to stay away from the stadium when the match is taking place.
