TEAM NEWS | Jaiyesimi set for full debut as Charlton make fives changes

Lee Bowyer has made five changes to his side to face Burton Albion at The Valley this evening including handing a full debut to Diallang Jaiyesimi.

Following the 1-1 draw at Fleetwood Town at the weekend Adam Matthews, Jason Pearce, Ben Purrington, Ben Watson and Jaiyesimi come into the starting XI.

Defender Akin Famewo moves to the bench having completed his first 90 minutes since returning from injury at Fleetwood, with Ian Maatsen, Matt Smith, and Ronnie Schwartz joining the substitutes having all started at Highbury. 

Chris Gunter has been rested after playing a lot of football in recent weeks and Ashley Maynard-Brewer also misses out on the squad, as the goalkeeper follows concussion protocol for a second time this month. Nathan Harness is the goalkeeper named on the bench.

Jaiyesimi makes his first start for the club, having joined from Swindon Town on deadline day in January.

Chuks Aneke returns to the bench, having served a one match suspension following his dismissal at home to Gillingham ten days ago.

Charlton: Amos; Matthews, Oshilaja, Pearce, Purrington, Watson, Pratley, Shinnie, Millar, Stockley, Jaiyesimi.
