Charlton trigger option to extend Alfie Doughty's contract to 2021

Charlton have taken up an option in Alfie Doughty’s contract to extend it by a further year until the summer of 2021.

The 20-year old has impressed since returning from a loan spell at Bromley in October, making 16 Championship appearances, including scoring the winning goal in the Addicks' 3-2 win against Bristol City at The Valley on Boxing Day.

The club remain in negotiations with Doughty and his representatives over a further extension to his contract.
