Charlton Athletic Women’s team to fundraise for Lyle Taylor’s Pink October at match at The Valley

Charlton Athletic Women will support Lyle Taylor’s Pink October by dedicating their match at The Valley during the international break to the campaign.

The Addicks host Aston Villa on Saturday, October 12th at 3pm in the FA Women’s Championship and will have a bucket collection on the day for the campaign.

Taylor will dye his hair pink during the month of October to raise money and awareness for Cancer Research UK.

Last year, he raised £16,000 for the charity, in part thanks to support and fundraising from Charlton Athletic Women.

Taylor said: “I went down to watch Charlton Athletic Women a few times last season and there is a really good family feel to their matchdays. They did a lot last year to help raise money and awareness for a charity that is very important to me and I’m grateful that they are getting involved again this season.

“We’re trying to make this year’s campaign bigger and better, so for them to dedicate their matchday at The Valley to the campaign means a lot.”

General Manager for the Women’s team Steve Adamson said: “Everyone knows someone who has has been affected by cancer either directly or in-directly so it's an important charity to raise funds for. Lyle has been a proud supporter of the women's team and we are proud to help support him raise money for such an important charity.”
