Five things to do at Chris Solly's testimonial game on Saturday

There is plenty to do at The Valley tomorrow before, during and after Chris Solly's testimonial game.

The Addicks host Premier League side Aston Villa with kick-off at 3pm and there are plenty of activities to keep you busy before the game begins.

It is Solly’s testimonial year after serving 10 years at the club, coming through the youth academy in 2009 and the Charlton faithful have the opportunity to show their gratitude towards the defender at Saturday’s game.

Below are five activities which you can get involved in on Saturday.

Have your picture taken with the play-off trophy

The play-off trophy will be in the club shop from 11am – 1pm, so make sure you get yourself there to get your picture taken with it. While you are in the club shop you can pick-up a new Charlton home kit.

Get into the stadium before kick-off to welcome Solly

Before Saturday’s game Aston Villa and Charlton Athletic players will line-up in a guard of honour for Solly to be welcomed onto the pitch with his two young children. Make sure you are in the stadium in plenty of time to give the Charlton legend the reception he deserves.

Visit the Family Activity Zone

If you are coming as a family, make sure you get to the ground in time for the Family Activity Zone which will run from 1.30pm – 2.30pm, with plenty of indoor and outdoor activities, from face painting to Playstation games. 

Hear Chris Solly speak

Once the game has finished Solly will get on the microphone and address the Charlton faithful to thank them for their support over the last 10 years.

Meet the players in the Fans’ Bar

Head to the Fans’ Bar after Saturday’s game to meet some of your favourite Charlton players. The lads will be heading to the Fans’ Bar after the game and they’ll be bringing the play-off trophy with them.
