More guests have been announced for Chris Solly’s testimonial dinner on Sunday, March 17th, with a host of teammates from the 2012 League One title-winning side set to attend.
Rhoys Wiggins, Danny Hollands, Dale Stephens, Matt Taylor, Andy Hughes and Ben Hamer all played a key part in the successful season which saw the Addicks claim a record 101 points on their way to promotion to the Championship and they will all be reunited at The Valley to toast the career of two-time Player of the Year Solly.
They will join former boss Chris Powell and former First-Team Coach Damian Matthew at the dinner, as well as Johnnie Jackson, Lee Bowyer and Academy Manager Steve Avory, while current teammates Lyle Taylor and Dillon Phillips have also confirmed their attendance.
The 2018/19 season is the academy graduate’s 10th since making his first-team debut for the club and the Addicks favourite will be organising a number of events throughout the year to mark his long association with Charlton.
All the proceeds from the event will be added to Solly’s testimonial fund which will then result in a charitable donation to Prostate Cancer UK, as well as other charities of his choosing, come the end of his testimonial year.
A traditional testimonial match will also be planned for the summer of 2019 to celebrate Solly’s 10 years as a senior Addick.
