Charlton made it six wins in seven league games with a 2-0 victory at home to AFC Wimbledon at The Valley today.
Lyle Taylor and Mark Marshall scored as Lee Bowyer’s men overcame the first minute sending off for Naby Sarr to secure another three points.

Below are comments from the Addicks manager on the victory.
On the game as a whole…
"It was difficult. I think they came here, played a certain way, they tried to sit in there and make it difficult for us. They did for a good part of the game. It was tough conditions, the pitch, I just walked across it there, another half hour or hour and he (the referee) might of stopped it (the game). The ball wasn’t moving too well out there.
"Overall I think we probably deserved it. Even when we went down to 10 men we were still the better side. We were still moving the ball and creating the odd chance. We just had to be patient and I said that before the game. We had to keep the ball, move the ball and try and switch it. That’s how we’d open them up and I think we did that. The most important thing is we’ve got the three points and now we’ve got a bit of a break, so roll on next Saturday.
"We had a couple of chances first half but a lot of possession. Teams know that we’re a good side, especially at home. They came here, tried to make it difficult, I understand why."
On the sending off of Naby Sarr...
"I’ve not looked at it. He’s an honest lad. I’ve said to Naby (after the game) 'look, it happens in football'. You make an honest challenge, he’s tried to win the ball and it’s mis-timed. It could maybe be a yellow, I’ve been told, not a straight red but I’ll have a look at it and see if we can appeal it.”
On goalscorer Lyle Taylor, who netted his 10th league goal of this season to give Charlton the lead…
“He was outstanding. To be fair to Lyle he had to have an injection in his toe (before the game). He couldn’t even feel his toe out there. He had a fitness test at the training ground this morning, failed that and they said ‘the only way you can play is if you have an injection’. Fair play to him, he knows how important every game is to us and he knows what a great impact he makes for us. He had the injection and he was like: ‘I can’t feel my toe, I can’t feel it’. I said to him ‘Don’t worry about that, it’s the technique, it’s not the feeling of it when you are shooting’. He worked hard, ran around and got his reward with the goal.”
