AWAY FANS' GUIDE | The Crown Oil Arena

Heading to Rochdale on Saturday afternoon? Here's what to expect from an away day at the Crown Oil Arena.

The travelling Addicks will be housed on one side of the Willbutts Lane Stand which runs along the side of the pitch, opposite the players’ tunnel.

The view of the action is good, as is the leg room, and the acoustics of the stand make for a good atmosphere making for one of the best away facilities in League One.

The usual fare of pies and burgers are available inside the ground, but there are not too many options available around the immediate vicinity. There is a fish and chip shop over the road from the away entrance, otherwise there are plenty of fast food establishments in the town.

There are two bars situated at the ground. Studds is below the Pearl Street Stand and normally admit away fans, as do Ratcliffe’s Bar at the front end of the stadium which has a clubhouse feel and also offers food. Up the hill is the Cemetery pub, while on Spotland Road is the Bowling Green and the Highland Laddie.

There are plenty of other options in town, including the Regal Moon which is the local Wetherspoons.

Alternatively, Rochdale Sports Club is a five-minute walk from the ground, and offer Sky Sports and BT Sport on their screens and serve hot food.

The postcode is OL11 5DR. There is street parking close to the ground or you can also park at Oulder Hill Community School on Great Avenue which is around half a mile from the stadium.

Regular trains to Manchester Piccadilly run from London Euston. Rochdale Interchange station is served by trains from Leeds or Manchester Victoria, but the ground is a long way from the station. The 444 bus will take you the ground, but they are infrequent so the best bet is to hail a taxi. It is best to pre-book a taxi for after the game and might be worth a group clubbing together to go directly back to Manchester Piccadilly.

Tickets will be available from the ground on the day priced:

Adult: £22

Over 65 and U21: £16

U16: £5
