Taylor set to think pink in October

Lyle Taylor will be going pink for Cancer Research UK next month in a bid to raise money for a cause which is close to his heart.

The striker will be dying his hair pink throughout the month of October as well as wear pink boots for what he hopes will raise awareness for a disease which affects so many lives every year.

“My hair will be dyed on September 30th and it will be pink for the whole of October which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” explained the Addicks striker.

“I’ve got my pink boot already and I’ve worn them in so they’re ready for matchday. I’m looking forward to it because, as soon as someone asks me why I have pink hair, that’s my job done. It’s starting a conversation and if it can inspire one person in the stadium to do their own little bit then that’s what I’m trying to do.”

Taylor, who has netted four times in his first seven outings for the Addicks, continued: “We are in a very fortunate position in that we are looked up to and idolised, so it’s about me being able to give something back, especially when this is something that is close to my heart and has affected me, my family, friends and people close to me. I’m sure it’s affected a lot of supporters as well and it will continue to do that until we can raise enough money to help beat it.”
