Charlton World Cup predictors come unstuck as hosts Russia continue to impress

Throughout the World Cup, Johnnie Jackson, Chris Solly, Kim Dixson, Terry Smith and Keith Peacock will be predicting the scores of every match in Russia.

After a successful matchday five for the Addicks predictors, yesterday’s action seemed almost impossible to anticipate.

An early Columbia red card gave Japan an unlikely advantage while World Cup regulars Poland struggled at the hands of Senegal.

The points were few and far between for the quintet with Dixson, Solly and Jackson drawing blanks in all three games.

Valley Pass commentator Smith, however, correctly predicted an upset in the day’s second game as Senegal overcame Poland with a 2-1 win.

Meanwhile, Charlton legend Peacock earned himself one point for backing the hosts in the evening kick off at the Saint Petersburg Stadium.

Matchday six’s results mean that Solly’s lead in the rankings has been slimmed to just 2 points, as the voice of Valley Pass Smith jumps to second place.

With Portugal and Spain returning to our screens in Group B, perhaps this afternoon’s outcomes will be easier to forecast. You can see their guesses below…
