Five things to do before kick-off at The Valley this evening

The club are expecting a lot more fans walking up to purchase tickets today than normal and because of that we are advising people to get here as early as possible to avoid long queues.

Here is our guide of things to do once you are here and you have your ticket:

Visit the club shop

Get your Charlton merch before tonight’s big game. The shop has plenty on offer including the current kits, retro kits, Charlton training wear, lifestyle clothing and the matchday programme.

The shop opened at 9.30am this morning and does not close until 7.45pm. It will then open for half an hour following the full-time whistle.

Support Jack Jefferys

Just days after celebrating his fourth birthday in August last year Jack was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer.

His family are selling the wristbands and lanyards at Thursday’s game to help fund his treatment that is not available on the NHS. They will be outside main reception from 5pm for anyone looking to support Jack.

Have a pre-match drink in the Fans’ Bar

Open on every home matchday to all season ticket holders and Charlton supporters with match tickets, the Fans’ Bar is a free lounge where fans can relax before and after games in SE7.

The Fans’ Bar is located in the North Stand and has a capacity of 500.

The bar is open from 5pm today.

Vist the Family Activity Zone

Table-tennis, face-painting and FIFA battles on the PlayStation! There is plenty to do to keep yourself occupied in the Family Activity Zone in Valley Central which opens at 6pm and closes at 7.15pm.

Have a read of the matchday programme

Today’s matchday programme includes a season review and a special interview with Mark Kinsella about the 1998 season and of course that incredible run into the play-offs.

The programmes costs £3 and is on-sale from the club shop now and from the programme sellers around the ground before 6pm.
