VALLEY REVIEW | Konsa takes centre stage for Rochdale visit

Ezri Konsa takes centre stage in the official matchday programme for the visit of Rochdale to The Valley on Tuesday evening.

In his feature interview, the 20-year-old starlet discusses making history with the England U20s in the summer, becoming the first Three Lions side to win a World Cup since 1966.

Having recently surpassed the 50-appearance mark for the club, defender also reflects on a whirlwind last 18 months and speaks about his hopes for the future and why former academy teammate Joe Gomez is a big inspiration.

Meanwhile, Karl Robinson pens his latest notes after a frustrating afternoon against MK Dons on Saturday, while also Jake Forster-Caskey reacts to the 2-2 draw against the Dons.

All the latest academy action is rounded up with news of how the U18s booked their place in the third round of the FA Youth Cup and there is a report from the U23s’ recent derby victory over Millwall.

We continue to celebrate 25 years back at The Valley by taking a look at another memorable SE7 moment from the last quarter of a decade with the latest depicting the 2-0 victory against Huddersfield Town in November 2011 which halted the Terriers’ long-standing unbeaten run.

And as well as all the usual games to keep you occupied at half-time on the Young Reds page, cover star Konsa features as the pull-out poster.

All this and more can be found in the latest edition of Valley Review which is available to purchase from in and around the ground, as well as in the Valley Superstore for £3.
