Your blogs from the Schools Partnership tournament

The first ever Charlton Athletic Schools Partnership tournament took place in May.

Children from 22 primary schools got to play on the pitch at The Valley in a battle to be crowned champions.

Cardwell Primary School won the morning’s competition and we asked a couple of their students to share their experience with the Kids Club.

Adam - Year 6 - Cardwell Primary School

"Thank you Charlton Athletic for organising such an amazing event and giving an opportunity for my team to play at ‘The Valley’ where Charlton Athletic play. One of my best moments was when my team won our group stage. I also loved the part when we won the cup, I felt very proud of myself and my team. I loved the way my team never gave up and kept trying."

Ikraam - Year 6 - Cardwell Primary School

"The tournament was well organised and we were excited to face other schools within the Greenwich Borough. We found this very interesting as there were good teams with different playing styles. As a team, representing Cardwell Primary School, we were so proud to win the tournament."
