PREVIEW | Bolton Wanderers v Charlton

Karl Robinson will be without a few of his first teamers for Saturday’s game at Bolton. Johnnie Jackson, Harry Lennon, Josh Magennis, Jason Pearce and Ahmed Kashi are all injured, while Jorge Teixeira is suspended.

Patrick Bauer returned to training on Thursday and is a doubt, but Lee Novak will come back into the squad following a knee injury.

For Bolton, Lewis Buxton has returned to training following a back injury but is unlikely to be in the squad. 


Charlton and Bolton will meet for the 91st time on Saturday. Wanderers hold the upper hand, historically, having been victorious on 42 occasions to the Addicks’ 28.

Last time the two sides met, they shared a 1-1 draw at The Valley. 


Charlton Manager Karl Robinson:“No-one [is fit who wasn’t last weekend]. Tony and Ricky are a week further on, which gives us some hope and Lee Novak is fit, as he would have been for the Scunthorpe game. Patrick Bauer is training today [Thursday] so we will see where he is at. This will be his first day back training - that’s as honest as I can get.”


Robert Jones will take charge of Saturday’s match at the Macron Stadium.

So far this season, he has officiated 28 matches where he has brandished 87 yellow cards and two reds.

He last oversaw the Addicks for our Emirates FA Cup second-round replay at Milton Keynes Dons in December.

He will be supported by linesmen Alan Clayton and Billy Khatib and fourth official Ross Joyce.

Tickets are on general sale and will be available to purchase on the day using cash only. Seats are priced at £23 adults, £16 over 65s and under 23s, £9 under 18s and £7 under 12s. They can be bought from 2pm on Saturday from Block E of the Macron Stadium’s south stand.
