Sophie Whitehouse speaks on her pride in Charlton's performance in the BWSL against Man City at The Valley.
"I'm so proud of the team today. We really fought for everything and it's just unlucky that they've scored one goal. We've done so well to defend and also just play how we want to play, play a bit more out from the back and I think today the girls did amazing.
"We had some really good chances and I'm really proud of us for getting up the pitch and getting those chances and hopefully in weeks to come we'll score those chances and then the points will come.
"I think today obviously the defenders also did a lot, there were a lot of blocks on the edge of the box so I don't have to do my job if they block the ball.
"But together as a team we've just fought really well against some of the best players in the world so I'm really happy with the performance overall.
"I think obviously every week we're building the first game of the season, we've built from that, we've built from the next game and now we're just going into the next games knowing that we can play, we can defend and we're going to get some points on the board."
