Nathan Jones' side continue their pre-season preparations on Tuesday evening, as they take on Sky Bet League Two outfit Colchester United at teh JobServe Community Stadium (7.45pm BST).
Tuesday's clash is the Addicks' penultimate pre-season fixture.
THE OPPOSITION
Colchester currently compete in Sky Bet League Two, where they finished 12th last season.
Danny Cowley's men drew 2-2 with West Ham United U21s in their last pre-season outing.
Their other friendly encounters this summer have seen them share a goalless draw with Norwich City, beat Heybridge Swifts 4-0 and Harlow Town 5-0, before being defeated 3-2 by Peterborough United.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
The two sides have met 19 times in all competitions, with the Addicks winning seven times, the U's winning eight and the remaining four encounters ending in draws.
The most recent meeting between the two teams was in October 2022, where Colchester ran out 2-1 victors in the EFL trophy.
