MATCH PREVIEW | Charlton vs Bristol City

BC Match Preview

Charlton are back under the lights in the Subway Players Cup on Wednesday, October 21st, against Bristol City (7.30pm BST) at The Valley.

TEAM NEWS

Kiera Skeels was back on the bench on Sunday and could be in contention to start on Wednesday as she works her way back from an ankle injury.

Hawa Cissoko, Grace Johnston, Linda Lif Boama, Paula Partido, and Charlotte Newsham all remain out.

THE OPPOSITION

Bristol City currently sit sixth in BWSL2 on seven points and 13th in the Subway Players Cup table on two points.

Those two points were gained on Sunday, after they drew 1-1 with Southampton, and took home an extra point when they were victorious in the penalty shootout after the game.

This match could see Emma Bissell return to The Valley. The English forward spent a season at a half in SE7, being part of the team that won promotion to the BWSL last season.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The Addicks and the Robins spent the previous two seasons in WSL2 and faced each other four times in that period.

In 2025/26, the teams met twice and shared a victory each. In 2024/25, City won at The Valley followed by a draw at Ashton Gate.
