Charlton U21s goalkeeper Finley Woodham has joined Enterprise National League side Southend United on a short-term loan.
The 18-year-old shot-stopper has featured at U21s level on several occasions and played a key role in Jason Pearce’s PDL-winning U18s side last season.
Woodham’s move to the Shrimpers marks the first loan spell of his career so far.
Head of Individual Development Dave Huzzey said: "We’re really excited to give Fin this opportunity to join Southend United on a short-term loan. Southend are one of the biggest clubs at National League level, with a great fanbase and a really competitive first-team environment. The experience Fin will gain from being in and around that environment on a daily basis will be invaluable to his development.
