Charlton Athletic are pleased to announce the relaunch of the club's Supporter Group programme, bringing Addicks fans together from across the UK and around the world to strengthen the vital connection between supporters and the club.
The relaunched supporter groups will provide fans with a collective voice, opportunities to connect with fellow Addicks and a platform to help shape the supporter experience. Members will also benefit from exclusive updates and direct access to discussions on the matters that affect them and their communities most.
On request of the club Board, the Charlton Advisory Board's first Task and Complete Group reviewed the existing setup, looking at what was working well and what needed to improve, explored best practice at other clubs and consulted with a small group of supporters to develop a proposal. This was subsequently approved by the club's Board of Directors.
Already, more than 20 supporter groups have signed up to become an official Charlton Athletic Supporter Group and got the chance to meet men's and women's first team players earlier this year. Supporters can view the full list of groups and find one that suits them by clicking here.
Exclusive Welcome Pack for Official Supporter Groups
To mark the relaunch, every official supporter group will receive a bespoke Welcome Pack containing:
· A personalised supporter group presentation box
· A letter from Men's First-Team Manager Nathan Jones or Women's First-Team Head Coach Karen Hills
· An official supporter group flag
· A commemorative pin badge
· An official certificate
· A digital version of the group's logo.
Supporter groups will also be invited to attend a special player access day, where they will have the opportunity to collect their Welcome Packs and engage with club representatives. For groups unable to attend, Welcome Packs will be delivered to ensure nobody misses out.
Dedicated Supporter Group Inbox Now Open
To support communication between the club and its Supporter Groups, a dedicated email inbox has now been established: supportersgroups@cafc.co.uk
This direct contact point will provide groups with access to the club for updates, enquiries and future engagement opportunities. This inbox will be monitored on a regular basis by the Fan Engagement team.
