Charlton Women are delighted to announce the signing of forward, Cassandra Korhonen, on a two-year contract.
Born in Sweden, Korhonen joins from Danish club HB Koge.
On signing for Charlton, she said: “It feels really good to have signed for Charlton. It is a club with history, and I am looking forward to starting this journey together.
“The Valley is a beautiful stadium, and we have great facilities at the training ground, so this will be a good season!”
Cassandra Korhonen arrives at Charlton with a wealth of experience across European football and a proven eye for goal. The Swedish forward has spent her career competing at the highest levels in Sweden, Finland, Portugal, Switzerland, and most recently in Denmark.
On why she chose Charlton, Cassandra continued: “I had a chat with the Karen Hills and the Sporting Director and felt it was a great opportunity to test myself in the WSL.
“I bring a lot of energy to the pitch and a strong temperament and can’t wait to get started.”
