Millenic Alli said he was ‘over the moon’ after his goal and assist helped the Addicks to a vital victory over Sheffield United at The Valley on Saturday afternoon.
The winger opened the scoring before setting up Matty Godden’s winner, and he was delighted to help his team to three points.
“I’m just over the moon. The boys have worked hard, and we’ve had a tough run, so it’s been good to give the fans something to celebrate,” he said.
Alli also praised the Valley faithful: “The fans always help us and give us a boost. Having them on our side today was important.”
Reflecting on his own contribution, he added: “It was very good. I’m happy to score and help the boys get the result. I’m happy for myself and for the team.”
