Macauley Joined Leyton Orient looking to reignite his career and found himself topping the coring charts in his two seasons with the O’s. The Addicks looked to snap him up in early 2019 but were unable to do so leaving Bowyer and his staff delighted to have finally brought him aboard.

After working his way through the Essex Side’s academy before marking his home debut, and his 18th Birthday, with a goal in 2013 during a 1-0 win over Peterborough United. Macauley would once again show his ability in front of goal when he bagged during his first start for Colchester in a 3-2 loss in the FA Cup to Sheffield United.
The Zimbabwean international, struggle for game time in the 2016/17 season and was loaned out to National League side Lincoln City where he scored on his first start in a match against Tranmere Rovers.
Bonne was recalled by Colchester in the October and Charlton supporters may remember his equalising goal in the EFL Trophy, eventually leading to Colchester edging The Addicks on penalties.
After being loaned out to National League outfit Woking on a month-long deal Bonne returned to Colchester finishing the season with 2 goals in 22 appearances for the U’s.
Bonne looked for regular football and joined National League Leyton Orient, scoring 22 goals in 44 league appearances on his maiden season in East London. Despite Charlton being interested in his services last season, Bonne remained at Orient and finished last season with 23 goals in 46 appearances to his name.
