Ben Amos returns to Charlton Athletic following his successful spell here on loan in the 2017/18 season which saw us narrowly miss out on promotion to the Championship.
Following the end of his contract with Bolton Wanderers, Amos put pen to paper in South London once more and will be hoping to pick up where he left off and make an impact in the season, albeit this time facing stiff competition from Dillon Phillips who was his understudy in his initial spell at the club.
Charlton completed the loan signing of experienced goalkeeper Ben Amos from Bolton Wanderers on July 29th 2017.
The 29-year-old is a former Manchester United academy graduate and spent last season with South London rivals, Millwall, on loan.
Amos started his career at Old Trafford and would go on to represent the Red Devils in the Champions League, the League Cup and once in the Premier League.
While with United, Amos enjoyed domestic loan stints at Peterborough United, Oldham Athletic, Hull City, Carlisle United and Bolton Wanderers, before joining the latter permanently in July 2015.
He made 53 appearances for Wanderers - 49 of which were in the Championship – and earlier in his career he represented England at every age group from U16 to U21.
