Charlton confirmed the loan signing of left-back Ben Purrington from Rotherham United on Thursday, January 10th 2019.
The arrival of the defender, who had played 26 games in League One during 2018/19 prior to joining the Addicks, ended Lee Bowyer’s search for a left-sided full-back.
Purrington began his career with Plymouth Argyle where he played 52 games in League Two before earning a move to Rotherham.
He played 10 games for the Millers in the Championship and then 10 further games in League One in 2017/18 before his successful loan spell with AFC Wimbledon earlier this season.
