Academy graduate Ezri Konsa enjoyed a very successful 2016/17 campaign, which was his very first in senior football.
Comfortable at centre-back, right-back and in the middle of midfield, the ball-playing defender has been at The Valley since the age of 12 and got his chance to impress at first-team level last season.
Starting the pre-season friendlies against Welling United and Bromley, Konsa featured in the trip to Austria where he managed to earn a regular spot within Charlton’s first-team set-up.
His senior bow came in the EFL Cup against Cheltenham Town and he kept his place in the side a few days later to make his league debut against Northampton Town.
His impressive form - both in defence and in midfield - earned him his first England U20 call-up in March and, by the end of the season, Konsa had made 38 appearances for the Addicks.
He will now hope for another successful campaign in SE7, in which he will also want to score his first goal for the club.
