Lewis Page’s Charlton debut came in a south-east London derby against Millwall at The Valley but he would have to wait a long time before he could enjoy a run in the side as he was made to endure an injury nightmare.
A 364-day sit on the sidelines came to an end at Blackpool in March 2018, but his bad luck continued when he suffered a concussion in the first-half of the match, leading him to missing another couple of games before returning to action.
But in the latter part of the 2017/18 season, he would make eight appearances and marked his Valley return with a fine volley from 25 yards against Plymouth Argyle to help his side reach the play-offs. The goal secured the EFL’s Goal of the Month award for March. Last season would see his misfortune continue as he was sidelined for the majority of the season. Page will be hoping for a third-time-lucky season at The Valley and see out the season injury free.
Page began his career on the other side of the river at West Ham United and his only appearances came in the Europa League before going out on loan to Cambridge United in League Two and to Coventry City in League One before being snapped up by the Addicks in January 2017.
