Winger Marshall was a hugely impressive part of Bradford City’s side, prompting Charlton to bring him to SE7 in the summer of 2017, joining Billy Clarke and becoming the second Bantam to sign for the club during the window.
He would endure a frustrating start to life at The Valley with a knee injury picked up in the pre-season outing at Stevenage ruling him out until October.
Marshall would go on to made 31 appearances in total during his maiden season at Charlton, scoring his first goal for the club in the 3-1 FA Cup victory over Truro City before netting the winner in the 1-0 win at Bury in January.
Often used as a right wing-back during pre-season this summer, he will be hoping to build upon some positive performances towards the end of the 2017/18 campaign.
Having made his senior debut for Carshalton Athletic 13 years ago, he has since played for Grays Athletic, Eastleigh, Swindon Town, Hereford United, Barnet, Coventry City and Port Vale before joining Bradford and he has a celebrity fan in commentary legend John Motson, who sponsored his shirt last season.
