A great way for fans to meet and socialise with fellow Charlton supporters who live close to them is by joining one of the official Charlton Athletic Supporters' Clubs (CASC).
CASC branches stretch from Kent and Sussex all the way to the West Country and there are also groups independent of CASC in three separate areas of Kent.
The aim of all these groups of supporters is to bring together like-minded Addicks by hosting social functions, such as quizzes and question-and-answer events with club personnel and players.
Moreover, supporter groups provide fans with a means of relaying their views to the club, while club personnel have the same means of communication with fans who may live in a specific area.
Some supporter groups liaise with their members via regular newsletters and/or emails, while those further away from SE7 can offer travel opportunities to matches and provide a ticket service for their members.
In addition the Reminiscence Group, which is based at The Valley, hold regular meetings.
