| Message | Another two points dropped against a team we should had expected to beat even before they were down to ten men with just under 15 minutes left, signs of a team going for promotion? All those who regularly send in comments such as 'give Parky a chance', ' stop moaning we're still in second, oops, I mean third place', 'don't worry we'll win our next match', etc, etc. Time to realise we're an average team with an average manager. Charlton board....start calculating how you are going to keep the club afloat playing another season in Division Three with whatever quality players we currently have in the squad going to pastures new at the season’s end. Some fans have been asking what Peter Varney has been doing at the club in regards to bringing in new investors, how is he supposed to attract investors willing to put money into a club which is heading for another season in the third tier of football? | |

| Reply | So, if they don't make the top two - should they throw the towel in in respect of the playoffs ?
You, as others of your ilk have already dismissed their chances. Best you stop going now! |

| Reply | Where have you been for the past 45 years, didn't mention anything about stop going? Perhaps if we don't get promotion then no one will be going to The Valley as we may not have a team or club to support. Sorry I am not supposed to voice my opinion about watching a club I have supported for 45 years going up in smoke. Who are ‘others of your ilk’? Oh just remembered I did stop going to watch them at Selhurst Park, along with thousands of others of my ilk until the club saw the errors of their ways and returned to SE7, if it hadn't been for those fans voicing their opinion and voting with their feet then you might not be able to watch a team playing in Charlton. Seems like a lot of others have now decided to stop going though, from all the empty seats now seen at home games. Surely a team going for promotion should be packed with jubilant supporters exulting in the fabulous style of football we are playing. | |

| Reply | CS the way we are currently playing we will be lucky to even make the play offs! Check your records and you will see teams that continually draw never get promoted and we have now drawn more games than anyone in the division! | |

| Reply | You can only call it how you see it, and not let bias cloud judgement. Even the play-offs are no longer looking certain for us, as right now we are playing like relegation fodder.
The sad thing is that I feel that we still have the best first eleven overall, and probably the best squad...overall. The problem I believe is that our manager peaked in this league whilst at Colchester, and is not going to improve on past glories and has basically ran out of ideas. |

| Reply | I think you are pretty well spot on although to be fair to Parky he is fighting a war with little ammunition.
But I definitely agree there is always that sense of 'oh well, let's just be thankful for what we've got' which is all very good, but if even that you can see slipping away you have to speak up and not just sit watching it happen in front of your eyes and hoping it will all be ok by next week |
