Highly-rated Karlan Ahearne-Grant kicked off the 2015/16 season by scoring his first professional goal in the 4-1 League Cup victory over Dagenham & Redbridge at The Valley.

The striker bagged another against Peterborough United in the next round of the competition and scored his first League goal in the 2-1 defeat at Cardiff City shortly after his 18th birthday last September.

The powerful Greenwich-born forward joined the club at the age of 12 and became prolific in front of goal as he worked his way through the youth ranks. The academy graduate made his first-team debut as a substitute away at Norwich City in September 2014, just a few days after his 17th birthday, and was given his first senior start away at AFC Bournemouth the following month,

His maiden season garnered six senior appearances and he added a further 23 last term, on top of three League Two outings during a short loan spell at Cambridge United last January.

Only turning 19 this September, Ahearne-Grant will continue to knock on the first-team door, while continuing to impress for the development squad.
