Teenager Ademola Lookman burst on the first-team scene in November 2015, making his debut away at Milton Keynes Dons.

He netted his first goal for the senior side away at Brighton & Hove Albion in a 2-2 draw the following month and bagged a double in the home contest against Bolton Wanderers in December 2015.

Lookman joined the club in the summer of 2014. Prior to that, he had never been on the books of a professional club, instead playing Sunday football for Waterloo FC. But such were the strides he made in the Addicks' academy teams, that he progressed into the first-team fold so quickly.

During his first season with the club, he bagged 17 goals in 28 games for the U18s to help the young Addicks towards both the regional and national titles. He once again began the 2015/16 campaign with the U18s, scoring 10 goals in his first five games of the season before swiftly stepping up to Jason Euell’s U21 side where he continued to excel.

A bright spot in an otherwise-disappointing season in SE7, Lookman’s maiden term in the senior side saw him make a total of 24 appearances, scoring five goals and capping off a memorable year by being crowned Championship Apprentice of the Year at the annual Football League Awards in April and winning his first international cap for England U19s against Mexico in June.
