Three goals in the last 15 minutes helped a CAFC XI to a 3-0 private friendly win at Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday afternoon.
Michael Smith struck twice either side of a bullet header from Tobi Sho-Silva as Damian Matthew's substitutes took centre stage.
There was also a strong performance from the Addicks rearguard, with Nick Pope in fine form between the posts and Jonathan Fortune chalking up another 65 minutes on his return from injury.
Pope was in goal for the visitors, with triallist Stuart Parnaby at right-back and Cedric Evina on the opposite flank.
Gary Doherty and Fortune were in the centre of defence, with Ruben Rover Izquierdo and Ben Davisson the wide midfielders either side of Bradley Pritchard and Freddie Warren.
Tosan Popo continued his recuperation with another 45 minutes up top, and he partnered the experienced Jason Euell.
In a windy affair in West London, it was Rangers, who had Akos Buzsaky, Jason Puncheon and ex-Addicks youngster Danny Shittu in their ranks, who were brighter in the early stages.
Pope saved well from Troy Hewitt on two occasions, and the striker was off target with another effort as the Addicks struggled to get their passing going.
The visitors were always a threat on the break and spurned a handful of chances at the end of the half, but the game opened up after Charlton's second-half substitutions, which saw Callum Harriott, Diego Poyet, Adebayo Azeez and Sho-Silva enter the fray.

Smith also replaced Popo at the break, and it was the Geordie striker who opened the scoring around the 75th minute.
Sho-Silva won possession out wide and fed Azeez, whose pass across goal was turned home from close range by Smith.
A second goal arrived soon afterwards when Harriott whipped in a peach of a centre for Sho-Silva to thump home a header, and Smith completed the scoring in the closing stages, tapping home after a good cross from Evina.
