Charlton prepare for first-round action
After receiving a bye last season, Charlton have been drawn in the south-eastern section for the first round of the 2010/11 Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

The Addicks will face one of Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Dagenham & Redbridge, Gillingham, Leyton Orient, Southend United or Stevenage Borough for a place in the Southern second round.
The draw for the competition will take place on Sky Sports' Soccer AM programme on Saturday, August 14th, with the ties to be played on the week commencing Monday, August 30th.
Elsewhere in the Southern section, Barnet, Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham Town, Colchester United, Hereford United, Milton Keynes Dons, Plymouth Argyle and Wycombe Wanderers all received byes through the first-round phase.
The four winners from Charlton's Southern Section - East will be joined by four teams from the Southern Section - West part of the draw (which comprises AFC Bournemouth, Aldershot Town, Exeter City, Oxford United, Southampton, Swindon Town, Torquay United and Yeovil Town) and those teams which received byes in the draw for the second round.
Last season, the Addicks played in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy for the first time and defeated Barnet 4-1 at The Valley in the second round in early October.
However, Phil Parkinson's men exited in the Southern section quarter-finals following a 2-1 defeat to Southampton at St Mary's Stadium the following month.
