Community spirit

It's been a busy few weeks for the Charlton Community Trust. Not only has the organisation been seeing its usual thousands of youngsters on a weekly basis and making a presentation to South Africa president Jacob Zuma, but officials have also found time for a series of interviews, which can now be viewed on CAFC Player.

CAFC Player is currently offering a free 14-day trial

While many supporters know about the trust's extensive activities across the South East, perhaps fewer fans are aware of the role it plays in helping to attract sponsorship and business opportunities to the football club.

So Roger McKerlie, of Sport Business Network, has interviewed trust chief executive Jason Morgan and football development manager Sean Daly to find out more.

The two video interviews are both now available on CAFC Player, which is currently offering a free 14-day trial.

The no-fee fortnight will allow supporters to try out the popular website, which currently has over 1,200 subscribers, and offers highlights of every single match, live audio commentaries and exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews and features.

Fans can start their fortnight at any stage between March 6th and March 20th, and not only will they be able to listen to live commentary from games involving their heroes, they can also watch the pre and post-match thoughts of Addicks boss Phil Parkinson and his players.

Subscriptions to CAFC Player - which was updated at the start of the current campaign and now boasts improved audio and widescreen video, and can also be accessed by Mac users - cost just £34.99 per year or £3.99 per month.

That's less than 10p per day, and the website also has an enhanced live match centre, with up-to-the minute feeds and match stats from all divisions, giving fans the perfect matchday destination.

Along with the technical enhancements, there is an improved account management facility, with the Player service developed by an ex-BBC usability expert who was involved in the creation of the BBC iPlayer.

If fans do not wish to remain subscribed to CAFC Player, they can cancel within the 14-day trial by visiting the My Account section of Player. If fans do not cancel, they will automatically roll onto the £3.99 monthly subscription, which can be cancelled at any time.

Sign up to CAFC Player here.

Fans can also watch the interviews on YouTube: click here for the Morgan interview, and here for Daly.
