Sinclair's strike in vain as CAFC win

Dean Sinclair scored his third goal in four days but was unable to help Grimsby Town to another win on Tuesday night.

The Addicks midfielder, who is on loan with the struggling League Two Mariners until the end of the season, netted twice in a 3-0 victory against Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.

But although Sinclair closed from close range five minutes before half-time to make it 2-2 against Crewe Alexandra, Alex scored twice more to clinch a 4-2 win. Grimsby next travel to Morecambe on Saturday.

Yado Mambo could have a Middlesex Senior Cup final to look forward to after Staines Town defeated Enfield Town 3-0 in the semi-finals the same night.

But Harry Pell was unable to score a fifth goal in six games as Hastings United lost 1-0 to Wealdstone in the Ryman Premier.
