Duo feature as Pirates win

Charlton duo Chris Dickson and Stuart Fleetwood both made late substitute appearances for Bristol Rovers and Exeter City respectively on Tuesday night as the Pirates defeated the Grecians 1-0.

Fleetwood, on loan with Exeter for the season, stepped off the bench in the 74th minute, while Dickson, whose temporary spell with Rovers ends in mid-December, was introduced in the 80th minute.

The duo had little chance to influence proceedings, though, with Darryl Duffy's first-half goal proving enough to give Rovers victory in a competitive West Country derby.

Exeter, in 15th place, host Brighton & Hove Albion in League One on Saturday (3pm), while Rovers travel to Colchester United.

Elsewhere, Dean Sinclair was not in the matchday squad as Barnet drew 1-1 with AFC Bournemouth in League Two. Barnet play Bury at Gigg Lane this Saturday (3pm).

In the Blue Square Premier, Alex Stavrinou helped Ebbsfleet United to a second successive win with a 2-1 victory over high-flying Stevenage Borough.

The talented Addicks youngster was partly at fault for Stevenage's 21st-minute opener, losing possession in midfield, with the ball eventually finding its way to Andy Drury, whose shot looped off Gavin Heeroo and over a stranded Lance Cronin.

But Stefan Bailey got Fleet back on level terms just after the break and the same player was on hand to net the winner in the 54th minute. Fleet are away to table-topping Oxford United on Saturday (3pm).

Finally, Yado Mambo was not in Dover Athletic's matchday squad that drew 0-0 at Staines Town in the Blue Square South Premier. Dover travel to Bromley on Saturday (3pm).
