By Royale demand

Due to demand, Charlton have announced details of a second Casino Royale evening, using the new casino and gaming facilities at the stadium under a partnership with Greenwich Community College.

With the first night sold out on Friday, December 5th, a second event has now been organised for Friday, December 18th.

Held in the casino and Millennium Suite, the night, which runs from 7pm to 12am, costs £29.95 per person and includes a cocktail on arrival and a luxury buffet.

London Gaming College, a match sponsor at the Addicks' home game against Exeter City in September, runs 20-week croupier courses for the professional gaming industry.

The college's fully equipped casino is located in the north-west corner of the stadium, which was formerly occupied by the gymnasium.

Of course, licensing laws mean that no money can change hands, but by joining in games such as poker, blackjack and roulette, guests can enjoy an entertaining evening with a difference.

"It's a wonderful facility, and it really enables us to offer something that no other venue in the surrounding area can match," said commercial centre manager Dave Archer.

"We had a couple of fun nights there for staff and contacts of the club and quickly realised its potential, so we asked permission to incorporate the casino into our Christmas party theme nights.

"We've come up with a Casino Royale theme, and the first event on December 11th was so popular and sold out so quickly that we are now running a second night on December 18th."

The casino nights are just one part of Charlton's Christmas offerings, however, with the party nights getting under way with an Elvis tribute night on Friday, December 4th.

Throughout December, Charlton are hosting a series of party events, ranging from tribute acts to traditional Christmas party nights.

There is a special CAFC disco night on Saturday, December 12th and the second Casino Royale event takes place on the same evening The Valley hosts a Rolling Stones tribute act.

Prices start from £24.95 per person, with each night featuring a buffet or three-course dinner.
