Seal a place for second half of season

Nine goals in their last two Valley games and on the club's longest unbeaten run at home for over a decade, Phil Parkinson's men are enjoying life in SE7 at the moment - and fans still have time to seal their place for the second half of the campaign by purchasing a half-season ticket.

The last two Valley matches have been packed full of entertainment, with six goals in both the games against Milton Keynes Dons and Bristol Rovers, not to mention plenty of fun in the crowd on Tuesday night following some yellow-card confusion.

The win against the Pirates was Charlton's 14th match in a row without defeat - the club's best sequence for over 10 years.

Under Alan Curbishley, the Addicks went 19 home matches without defeat in 1997/98 - a campaign that ended in promotion.

That run was extended to 20 games in the first match of the following campaign, a 5-0 Premiership victory against Southampton.

And earlier this month, against MK Dons, Parkinson's men scored five goals in SE7 for the first time since that incredible victory against the Saints in August 1999.

It's all coming together for the Addicks, who remained second in League One folllowing the midweek triumph against the Pirates - and with Christmas on the way, Parkinson's men are handily placed in the second automatic promotion spot and poised to push for promotion back to the Championship in the second half of the 2009/10 campaign.

The final 12 home matches of the season start against Swindon Town, and with an upper north stand adult half-season ticket costing £160 (just £13.33 a game), there isn't a better time to sign up for the remainder of the campaign.

The club launched its half-season tickets earlier this month, and purchasers will gain entry to a dozen League One matches, including rare visits from Brighton & Hove Albion, Gillingham and Leyton Orient, plus potential crunch clashes with Colchester United, Leeds United and Norwich City.

U18s pay £40 and U11s £30, which is £3.33 or £2.50 per head, making half-season tickets the ideal Christmas gift. Adults pay even less in the family stand.
