Charlton's FA Youth Cup second-round clash against Woking will take place at The Valley on November 18th

The Addicks will be aiming to build on their opening-round success against Gillingham when they take on the Cards on Wednesday week.

The Kent side was beaten 3-0 at The Valley on November 3rd, while Woking clinched their place in round two a day later by coming from behind to defeat Dagenham & Redbridge 3-1.

After four years without a home fixture in youth football's premier domestic knock-out competition, the match against Woking marks a seventh successive home clash for the club's youngsters.

An early deflected effort from Liam Bellamy paved the way for success for the U18s against Gillingham, and a terrific strike from midfielder Harry Pell before the half-hour mark put the young Addicks in command.

Striker Lewis Perkins added a third early in the second half and solid defending, coupled with a good goalkeeping display from Jack Binks, ensured an excellent win.

Charlton have played Woking once before in the FA Youth Cup, on November 9th, 1994 - and it was certainly a memorable occasion for those with Addicks connections.

The Valley side completed an emphatic 8-0 victory, which still stands as the best away win for Charlton in the competition.

For the record, Charlton's record FA Youth Cup win was a 9-0 success over Sutton United in the third round in January 1958.

Further details, including ticket information, of the game will be announced when available, and the match will be resolved on the night, with extra-time and penalties if required.
